The work
Two-person platform team supporting eight engineers. Everything is on EKS with Terraform in front of it.
The first thing you would pick up is alert quality. Too many fire, and the ones that matter get lost in them.
Worth knowing
- Deploys are continuous, roughly fifteen a day, behind flags.
- On-call is shared across the whole engineering team, not just platform.
Must have
- Production Kubernetes, not just kubectl apply
- Terraform at more than one environment
- On-call experience
